Early Cemetery Association Marks 50 Years
Descendants and History Buffs Invited to Learn Local History

- Bring a dish to share, have lunch and talk history with
others who share your interest in Valley History.
There will be a brief presentation about the Open House day
held this past fall.
The first burial in the cemetery was in 1797; the majority of
burials took place in the 19th century.
Common surnames include Bailey, Coffman, Early, Flory, Landes,
Niswander, Rhodes, Wenger, Whisler. Participants are invited to
bring old photos, memorabilia and stories to share with other
descendants and historians. Refreshments will be served.
The Early Cemetery is located at 3588 Early Rd., just south of
the Pleasant Valley Elementary School, Harrisonburg
